National Semiconductor/ Saint Gobain Joint venture founded in 1979 by National Semiconductor and Saint-Gobain Thomson Thomson acquired Eurotechnique in 1983.

 

Company Overview

Founded April 10, 1979, Eurotechnique S. A. was a joint venture with Saint-Gobain to develop MOS memory products. NS had a 49% share.  Eurotechnique's operations were in France. Eurotechnique developed chips were packaged at NS's Thailand facility starting in 1981. Eurotechnique was acquired by Thomson in 1983.
